NOCD Lifechangers Club: Celebrating the Clinicians Transforming OCD Care

Your work as a therapist changes lives. NOCD’s Lifechangers Club makes sure you feel that impact.

Somewhere right now, a NOCD member is doing something OCD used to keep them from: finishing a workday without hours of checking, hugging their kid, eating at a restaurant. Behind each of those moments is a therapist who helped them get there.

What is our Lifechangers Club?

Lifechangers Club is how NOCD celebrates its top-performing therapists who are changing what OCD care looks like. Each year, we look at member outcomes across our network, and the clinicians who have made the greatest impact, as measured by clinical outcomes and protocol adherence, are invited on a destination trip, along with a loved one, to celebrate what they’ve achieved.

Most recognition programs in the industry stop at a bonus or an award. Lifechangers takes a different approach: we celebrate clinical impact in community. This program brings together the clinicians doing this work, the people who love them, and the leaders who shape where NOCD goes next.

In October, over 90 top-performing NOCD therapists, each with a loved one, along with our clinical and operational senior leadership team, gathered for four days at The St. Regis Costa Mujeres in Cancún, Mexico, for Lifechangers Club 2026. Through member success stories, an awards night, and recognition led by the peers and leaders who know what this work takes, we celebrated our Lifechangers throughout the weekend.

In my 20+ years working in mental health, I’ve never seen a company celebrate this work and their people the way NOCD does.

Gathering and meeting in person

Lifechangers Club is more than a trip: it’s a chance for clinicians who work remotely to meet each other face to face, and to sit down with leadership and help shape what NOCD becomes. Bringing these groups together is one of the pieces that makes this program so special.

NOCD therapists work remotely, but they don’t work alone. Day to day, they trade ideas in consultation groups and Slack channels, and get to know each other through affinity groups. Lifechangers Club gives them the chance to continue to foster these relationships by meeting face to face, sharing stories, and bringing the people they love into their work life.

It’s very interesting to work and be alone and then suddenly be with a bunch of other people who have the same experience.

Each clinician brings a partner, family member, or friend, so the people who support them get a closer look at the work they do. Including loved ones also recognizes the relationships clinicians have outside of work, and the key role those people play in supporting them to do their best work.

Where clinicians shape what’s next

At NOCD, we know the best care happens when therapists have the support they need to do their best work, and part of that is making sure their voices are heard. The clinicians closest to the work are the first to see what’s helping members conquer their OCD and what’s getting in the way.

So at Lifechangers, our top clinicians sit down with leadership to share what’s working, what isn’t, and what would make NOCD better, and that feedback helps shape the experience and product going forward.

I was also moved by the courage displayed during our discussions about what is wrong and how we fix it… both the company for having the courage to ask us and accept the feedback, as well as the courage of the answers I heard from therapists.

Those conversations build something that lasts beyond the trip: strong relationships between clinicians and the leaders they work with. Therapists get to know the people behind the decisions, leaders hear directly from the people doing the work, and everyone comes home with a sense of connection and of operating as one team.

Every outcome is a life changed

Behind every Lifechangers outcome is a person who regained their life from OCD: someone who returned to work, reconnected with family, or made room for the things they love again. That impact is why NOCD exists, and the clinicians who make it happen deserve to be celebrated for it. Lifechangers Club is our way of saying thank you, and of making sure our therapists feel the difference they make.

“I’m excited to see how the ideas proposed in the meetings will benefit both the therapists and Members as we move forward. Here’s to seeing everyone next year at Lifechangers 2027!” BA, 2026 Lifechanger
